1. Purpose of this policy
The purpose of this policy is to clearly, simply and fairly define the conditions for cancellations, date changes and refunds applicable to bookings for nautical experiences, sailing trips and private activities managed by OneDay Barcelona.
This policy aims to provide transparency in the relationship between OneDay Barcelona and its customers, avoiding misunderstandings and ensuring that both parties know in advance the consequences of cancelling or modifying a booking.
2. Scope of application
This policy applies to all bookings for nautical experiences and related services offered by OneDay Barcelona in Barcelona and its surrounding waters, which:
- Are booked for a specific date and time, and
- Have been arranged through the website, by telephone, WhatsApp Business, online forms or other channels accepted by OneDay Barcelona.
The policy applies to both individual bookings and group or private activity bookings, unless specific conditions have been agreed in writing at the time of booking.
3. Cancellations requested by the customer
The customer may request the cancellation of their booking at any time before the scheduled start time of the experience. However, the financial conditions of such cancellation (full, partial or no refund) will vary depending on the notice period with which the request is made.
For calculation purposes, the time remaining between the moment OneDay Barcelona receives the cancellation request through a valid channel and the scheduled start time of the activity will be taken into account.
The general conditions are as follows:
- Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance.
- Cancellation between 24 and 48 hours in advance.
- Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance.
In addition, specific provisions are made for cases of no-show and customer delays.
4. Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance
If the customer requests the cancellation of their booking more than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled start time of the experience:
- They may request a refund of 100% of the amount paid for the booking.
- As an alternative to a refund, the customer may request a date change for the same activity, which will always be subject to availability at OneDay Barcelona.
In these cases, OneDay Barcelona will endeavour to manage the cancellation or date change promptly and in line with the customer’s reasonable preferences, within operational possibilities.
5. Cancellation between 24 and 48 hours in advance
If the customer requests the cancellation of their booking between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled start time of the experience:
- The customer will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the amount paid.
- OneDay Barcelona may, at its discretion and depending on availability, consider a date change for the same activity. This change is not guaranteed and will depend on operational and commercial conditions in each case.
If a date change is agreed within this time frame, OneDay Barcelona will clearly inform the customer of the new booking conditions and any necessary adjustments.
6. Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance
If the customer requests the cancellation of their booking less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled start time of the experience:
- The customer will not be entitled to a refund of the amount paid.
- On an exceptional basis, and provided that there is a justified reason and operational availability, OneDay Barcelona may consider a possible date change. However, OneDay Barcelona is not obliged to accept such a change.
The customer is advised to report any incident as soon as possible, especially within this time frame, so that OneDay Barcelona can consider the options as flexibly as circumstances allow.
7. No-show and delays
Customer no-show
A no-show will be considered when the customer:
- Does not arrive at the meeting point indicated for the activity at the scheduled time, and
- Has not previously reported a delay or incident through a valid contact channel.
In the event of a no-show:
- The booking will be considered used.
- The customer will not be entitled to a refund of the amount paid.
Customer delays
The customer must arrive with the advance notice indicated in the booking confirmation, to allow for the organisation of boarding and the punctual start of the experience.
In the event of a delay:
- The effective duration of the experience may be reduced, while maintaining the scheduled end time.
- If the delay is such that it prevents the trip from taking place (due to timetable, safety conditions, port restrictions or other operational reasons), OneDay Barcelona may consider the case as a no-show, with no right to a refund.
Within reasonable limits, OneDay Barcelona will try to find solutions that minimise the impact of the delay, provided that safety and proper service delivery are not compromised.
8. Date changes requested by the customer
The customer may request a date change for their booking to another date and/or time when the activity is available. These changes are subject to:
- The availability of vessels, crew and time slots.
- The operational and commercial conditions of OneDay Barcelona at any given time.
- The notice period with which the change is requested, which may lead to the same criteria being applied as for a cancellation.
In general terms:
- Changes requested more than 48 hours in advance can usually be handled more flexibly, always subject to availability.
- Changes requested between 24 and 48 hours may involve the application of the partial cancellation policy or specific agreements.
- Changes less than 24 hours in advance will be treated as exceptional cases and may be treated as a cancellation with no right to a refund if it is not possible to reschedule the booking.
In all cases, OneDay Barcelona will endeavour, within reasonable limits, to facilitate date changes when the situation allows it and does not entail a disproportionate disruption to the organisation of activities.
9. Cancellations due to weather, sea conditions or safety
Nautical experiences are directly affected by weather conditions, sea state and other factors related to navigation safety.
If OneDay Barcelona, the skipper or the person responsible for the activity considers that the trip is not safe due to:
- Adverse weather conditions.
- Unsuitable sea state.
- Alerts or recommendations from the competent authorities.
- Other circumstances that may compromise the safety of passengers, crew, vessel or third parties.
A decision may be taken to cancel, modify or adapt the activity.
In the event that the trip is cancelled for these reasons:
- The customer will be offered the option of a date change to carry out the activity at another time, subject to availability.
- If the customer does not wish or is unable to accept a date change, a refund of the amount paid corresponding to the affected activity will be offered.
The final decision on the feasibility and safety of the trip always lies with OneDay Barcelona, the skipper or the person responsible for the activity. Light rain, cloud cover or other non-ideal conditions do not necessarily imply cancellation of the trip if navigation is considered safe.
10. Cancellations due to breakdown, port restrictions or force majeure
In some cases, the trip may be affected by causes beyond the control of the customer and of OneDay Barcelona’s usual organisation, such as:
- Breakdowns in the vessel or other essential equipment for the activity.
- Port restrictions or changes in access and manoeuvring rules imposed by the competent authority.
- Instructions or bans issued by maritime, port or safety authorities.
- Situations of force majeure or serious operational causes that objectively prevent the experience from taking place under the planned conditions.
In these circumstances, if the trip cannot take place:
- The customer will be offered a date change or an equivalent activity, subject to availability, or
- A refund of the amount paid for the affected booking.
OneDay Barcelona will inform the customer of the incident and of the available alternatives as soon as possible.
11. Refunds
When, in accordance with this policy, a full or partial refund of the amount paid by the customer is due:
- The refund will generally be made using the same payment method used for the booking (for example, the same card or payment gateway), unless another method is expressly agreed between the parties.
- The time it takes for the refund to be received may depend on the bank, the payment gateway (such as Redsys) or the issuer of the payment method, and may vary.
- OneDay Barcelona is not responsible for delays attributable to banks, issuing entities or payment gateways in applying the refund to the customer’s account.
OneDay Barcelona will process refund orders as diligently as possible, informing the customer when the operation has been processed through the relevant payment system.
12. Right of withdrawal
The nautical experiences offered by OneDay Barcelona are booked for a specific date and time, and fall within the category of services related to leisure or recreational activities that are scheduled for a specific period of performance.
For this type of service, and in accordance with consumer protection regulations that may apply from time to time, the statutory right of withdrawal provided for certain distance contracts may not apply in the same way as it does for other services or products.
In any case, and without prejudice to any rights the consumer may have, the customer may always:
- Request the cancellation of their booking in accordance with the time frames and conditions set out in this Cancellation Policy, and
- Raise any questions or particular circumstances so that they can be considered by OneDay Barcelona.

13. How to communicate a cancellation
To request a cancellation, a date change or to report a relevant incident, the customer must communicate it as soon as possible to OneDay Barcelona through a valid contact channel.

- Other messaging or contact channels expressly indicated by OneDay Barcelona in the booking confirmation.

14. Relationship with the Booking Conditions
